It’s All About POV: The Need to Write Multicultural Fiction
I do not believe I am a racist. And yet I can make thoughtless comments, be oblivious, be hurtful without realization or intent. Like when I offered a hairdrier to a black friend. Hey, I thought I was being helpful. Forget color-blind. I can be down-right blind. I don’t classify people by race. Why? I…
The Last Summer Trip
If you’ve read this blog, you know I don’t believe in accidents. I had started out the summer with one trip planned: this one. I’d saved the money from my web design work for this one experience, and so it seems fitting that everything else built towards it. I went to a writer’s conference in…

Kittens
The neighborhood cats all know I’m a sucker for a mother and kittens. This latest brood moved in under our front steps a few weeks ago. The mother cat was starving. I already have enough cats, thanks, but here was this pitiful creature and her two adorable kittens. Of course, I made the classic mistake:…

Branding – not just for cattle
Everyone has heard about branding. That’s what a candy bar company does when they want you to buy their product. A particularly yummy peanut butter based candy knows that my family will buy lots of whatever it puts its familiar logo on. We are their ideal customer base. We trust what they put that logo…
Clear Thinking about Technology and Marketing
Modern technology — especially as it applies to marketing as a writer — can be overwhelming. Do we self-publish, indie-publish, traditionally publish? Do we Tweet or Blog or Facebook or LinkedIn or…? What IS Google+? (For those who don’t know, it is Google’s answer to Facebook.) If you missed my last post on living in…

Welcome to the Library #LSBXE
Liquid Story Binder uses its own naming methods for … things. If you’re on the Yahoo User Group you know that I’m not being vague with my language, I’m skipping over a potentially 20 page philosophical discussion of the nature of… things. Things like file types and tools and writing and stuff that you are…
Hi Lisa,
After our meeting yesterday I realized that I wasn’t subscribed to your email.
Once I was here, I saw the organizational quiz for writers – right up my alley (pun alert!) And I took it.
Although you claim it is wildly inaccurate and unscientific, I do agree with the results: See It.
I am completely lost if I don’t live by check lists and sticky notes in highly visible places. This, of course, could be construed as clutter and crazy by outsiders who aren’t cued into the creative processes that are different for each creative person.
Fun idea – we must talk about that quiz feature as I tried to do one ages ago. I’m sure the plugins and blocks have evolved since then.
Take care and see you soon at our next website planning meeting!

Isn’t it fun? I’m using a tool called H5P for this that you can embed into WordPress or other places. You’ll like it:

There’s a ton that we can do with it!!!
And I’m glad you liked the quiz. I had fun setting it up. So far it has seemed to be pretty accurate for folks. I did a bunch of research on organizational styles and then had fun creating questions that writers would relate to!
